Homecoming 2011 - October 3-8

For St. Croix’s Homecoming 2011, the Student Council has selected the theme "Star Struck."  Parade banners and skits will try to capture this year’s theme. Each class is creating a 10-foot banner portraying the theme, which will be carried by class members in the parade on Friday, October 7, beginning at 5:30 pm on Oakdale Avenue.

Skit / Pepfest Night Wednesday, October 5 A highlight of Homecoming Week is the Class and Faculty Skits which will be presented Wednesday, October 5, beginning at 6:00 pm [note new time!] in the Gym. Everyone is invited to attend and enjoy the competition between the classes and the faculty. Points are awarded for the best skit, as judged by a panel of faculty and staff. Following the skits, PowderPuff Football will be played under the lights in the Stadium (weather permitting). Class Teams Compete Each class will also be recruiting the following teams: dodge ball (10 girls, 10 boys), Powder Puff Football (11 girls and one coach – if needed – on the field at once), indoor soccer (5 players + 1 goalie, 3 girls minimum), banner committee, and skit committee. Dress-up Categories and Activities As is St. Croix tradition, each day of Homecoming Week will have a “dress-up” theme and activity of the day. "Dress up" choices must still meet Dress Code requirements at the faculty's discretion. Dance, Saturday, October 8 - 7:30-11:30 pm Semi-formal attire (within dress code); No admittance after 9:00 pm -- No one may leave before 10:30 pm; Admissions = $5 per person at the door.  Students must also show SCLHS ID card for admission.  Guests must pre-register by completing this form (or available in the office) and returning it to Principal Gibson.
