From the church or community center down the street to an office in Tokyo, I love talking with future St. Croix students. My wife and I love downtown St. Paul and enjoy the winter months by skiing and soaking in our hot tub.

I am a graduate of St. Croix and loved the wide variety of classes. I especially enjoyed Geometry because it is visual, and I could see how it was useful in sports like baseball, football and skiing. I also liked writing class because it has helped me in my current role of sharing neat stories of current St. Croix students with those students who are the future of St. Croix!

My first  job was newspaper delivery for the Milwaukee Journal when I was 11 years old. I workd there for three years. Since then, I have washed cars at Signal Car Wash on Robert Street, did landscaping and cut grass for Somerset Country Club, and was a social worker in a community for new immigrants to Minnesota. I also enjoyed teaching and being a dormitory supervisor before working with admissions at St. Croix.

As a social worker in St. Paul I learned about the community and the value that a good education can provide in building strong communities. I was thrilled when St. Croix asked me to help connect the school with the community on a deeper level by working with admissions. I love to see how St. Croix students, whether in West St. Paul or Tokyo, are active in their communities and their churches.
